Crooked Run Trestle Update

The maintenance crew has been hard at work on the Crooked Run Trestle.  They have completed the repairs to the bridge walkway and they have almost completed the installation of the longitudinal stringers.  They have also started repairing the safety platforms.  It is looking good for having a fully repaired Crooked Run Trestle in place for the next OPS session.

As for the scenery work in the Crooked Run Trestle area, all of the vegetation has been placed on the rock face.  Tomorrow the static grass will go in at the base of the trestle.  Then there will be some minor finishing touches before the water and water falls are installed.

Everyone once and a while Murphy takes a break.  And today he seemed to take one in my layout room.  During the last OPS session one of the under counter lights over White Hall gave up the ghost.  I tried to find where I had purchased them but couldn't.  And current prices seemed to be at least twice what the originals had been.  Then I stumbled upon an eBay listing for lights that looked a lot like the ones I had and were just slightly more expensive than the originals so I purchased two.  Today I opened one and it was an EXACT match to what I had.  I doubt that will every happen again.

(The important aspect of this picture are the paint brushes which are all on the bottom row holding in the last three longitudinal stringers in place while the glue dries.)
