Crooked Run Trestle Update

Progress has not been as hoped.  Too many issues and interruptions.

However, as you can see from the picture below I am making progress on getting the trestle up to snuff and making progress on the waterfalls.

Unfortunately I don't think the Swift Run switch issue will be resolved before the next session so special instructions will be needed to alert train crews about this possible safety hazard.  (Yeah like that will make any difference!)

When I built what is now Crooked Run Trestle (about fifty years ago) I didn't include the internal longitudinal stringers.  So I am rectifying that omission.  Also fifty years and over 130 operating sessions have taken a toll on it.  So repairs are also being made.  I hope to have the trestle updated and repaired and in place for the next session.

(The paint brushes are being used as clamps to hold the longitudinal stringers in place.  The plastic bag in the forefront has been coated with clear gloss gel on both sides.  This will be cut to size and then installed on the layout to form the waterfalls on each side of Crooked Run Trestle.)
