Engine 21 Fails Drawbar Test

Two baggage cars, a RPO, a coach and an observation were coupled to engine #21 for a test run from Thorny Point to White Hall and back.

The run from Thorny Point to White Hall was made successfully.  However engine 21 could not get this consist up the hill out of White Hall.  Next we tried removing the extra baggage car which is usually not part of the normal consist and tired again.  Engine 21 failed again.  We then tried only a baggage and a coach, the normal consist for 30/31 and 20/21.  Engine 21 failed again!  (Engine 21, during it's initial test when it was acquired, was able to pull all seven of the passenger cars between White Hall and Thorny Point.  I don't know what has happened but it has lost a lot of it's traction effort.)

This was the last straw.  Engine 21 is now in the roundhouse and probably will not be coming out anytime soon.  (Maybe if we put some Bull Frog Snot on it.  But I don't see that in it's future either.)

Engine 42 has now been assigned the duties of hauling trains 10 and 11 between White Hall and Thorny Point.  This makes engine 42 the only passenger consist engine since it was already assigned to trains 30/31 and 20/21.  Engine 42 was able to pull the full consist (2 baggage, 1 RPO, 1 coach and 1 observation) from White Hall to Thorny Point without incident.

The paper work and the train order system will have to be updated before the next session.  The train order system has already been updated and the paper only needs to be printed.

So starting with the next session the requirement to double head train 10 out of White Hall is dropped.
