Track & Engine Maintenance

The track crew wrapped up track maintenance today.  They were able to clean all of the accessible track which is about 95% of it including the helix track.  Both upper level turntables were cleaned and lubricated.  All switches were vacuumed.  And all of the accessible track was gone over with a bright boy and vacuumed.

After the track crew wrapped up, the engine house went to work cleaning and lubricating the engines.  They finished nine of the fifteen.  One problem area was the Kipper.  It was thought one time the Kipper would have to be retired.  But perseverance got the Kipper running and he is back in service.  Just in time for February's session.
