One Down Five To Go

The first of six bridges is finally complete.  Bonnie Brook trestle got its guard rails and weathering today marking the end of its construction.  Monday the track got painted.  Tuesday the track got ballasted.  And today the guard rails were installed and the track weathered.  A picture of the finished product is on www.easton-and-potomac.com.  Now there are only five more to go.  But they will have to wait until the scenery reaches them.

In addition to the trestle work today I started on cleaning all of the track.  (At lest all I can reach.)  I have finished Stanley including removing the turntable bridge and cleaning it and the pit track.  I cleaned the track from Furnace to about half way around the peninsula.  I also got under the helix and cleaned all of the track I could reach.

This track cleaning will continue for a few more days.  Then it is on to motive power cleaning.

Nothing, most likely, will run at the next session.
