Scenery Approaches Thorny Point

Today I worked on three fronts; the house kit, scenery between Brooke and Thorny Point and trees.

On the tree front I have all (350) of the deciduous tree trunks painted.  As a bonus I found a can of the darker gray I used the first time for variation and have now recorded its name for future use.  (Since I could not remember what I had used the first time I guessed and the second batch had dark gray trunks that were closer to black.)  If the weather is good again tomorrow (warm and not blowing) I will paint the branches black.  After this the trees will be ready for flocking.

On the house kit front I have completed it to the point where it just needs glazing, upper sashes, chimneys and shingles.  A picture of its current state is on www.easton-and-potomac.com.

On the scenery front I cleaned up the brown ground foam and added the gloss medium where I will be installing the "living" blend of static grass.  The static grass should go down tomorrow also.

In the picture below you can see state route 608 coming from the back left to the center.  The access road to Easton Transfer Company is coming off state route 608 just behind and parallel to the tracks.  You can now also see the parking lot for the Brooke station which is in front of the black pad.  All of the other black areas will have standing water.
