Disembarking The Ship Of The Damned

I think maybe Marlene and I have gotten off the Ship Of The Damned.  Or at least we can see the pier.

Wednesday will mark five weeks since the fall and I can now get out of a chair unassisted and feed myself.  So with this progress I'm going to be optimistic and schedule the August OPS session.

I want to thank everyone than sent words of concern, encouragement and sarcasm.

I especially want to thank Jerry Ritter, Steve Robbins, Wayland Moore and Doug Barry for visiting.  It helped break up the hours of just sitting and waiting for cells to heal.

A special thank you goes to appliance repairman Dick Munnikhuysen for coming to Marlene's assistance and installing a new heating element in her oven.  (On top of me falling Marlene lost her washing machine and oven during this episode.)

So hopefully this life event is coming to an end (never to be repeated) and life can get back to railroading.

You certainly have been through some stormy seas. Best wishes for a calmer future. ;-)
