I had hoped to be able to do a bypass.
But the results of today's testing with a multimeter on the tortoise contacts showed the patient needed a transplant. (Both sets of contacts had failed.)
Since a transplant is much more complex and the chance for issues great, I decided to leave the situation the way it is until after the OPS session on Saturday.
After all the only things not working are the Swift Run switch position lights. The operator doesn't understand them and the engineers don't look at them so nothing is actually lost.
To not make today a total lost I finished up prepping the hatch for replacement and have it sitting in place and ready for the OPS session. The patient should be fine until the next round of surgery.
