More Thorny Point Track Removed

The crews working on the new bulkhead and pier at Thorny Point came to the conclusion that more track had to be removed in order to properly conduct the work.  So today the crews removed the pier lead back to the switch.  This will make the yardmaster job just a little bit harder but it had to be done to provide access to the work area.

This picture shows the removal of the pier lead to provide access for the pile driver for setting the pilings for the new pier.  The water area has been sealed with silicone and painted another coat of black.  Next I will finish cutting the bulkhead pieces.  Once I have all of them cut I will stain the bulkhead pieces and pilings and then I will be ready to start driving pilings into the bottom of the Potomac River.
