Joint E&P, BPB and N&W Venture

E&P management announced today that BPB Creosote Company obtained an option to purchase a building and land in Flat Top where they plan to build a tie processing plant.  BPB said the N&W will purchase the entire plant production  and the Easton Lumber Company in Lacey Springs will provide all of the untreated ties.  Coal will be provided by the HS Mining Company in Hopkins Spring and creosote will be provided by the Easton Oil Company in Thorny Point.  The N&W will provide six gondolas (three for untreated ties and three for treated ties) free of per diem to the E&P.  The E&P will install two additional tracks to service the tie processing plant and provide all switching duties and transportation between the ELC and BPB Creosote and between BPB Creosote and the N&W in Stanley.  No date was given for the completion of the track work in Flat Top or the plant.
