This is the start of making trees.
In the picture below there is a box in the floor to my right that is about the same size as the box on the couch to my left containing the tree armatures needing to be deleafed.  The box to my left holds the ones I have deleafed.  The pile on the table is what the armatures look like coming out of the box.
After three hours I have finished about 25% of the first of two boxes.  I figure it will take at least four days per box at four hours per day and I don't expect to work on them at that rate.  So it will take at least eight days to deleaf the two boxes and probably closer to fourteen.
Then it is on to the matte medium soaking and drying.  That will take another couple of weeks even if I do this concurrently with the deleafing.  So I hope to be able to start the painting and flocking process by September.  And the painting and flocking will take several days of two to three hours per day.  This is NOT a quick process but I believe the end result is worth it.
