A Tale of Two Engines, A Tale of Two Bridges

Engines #34 and #43 have been placed back on the available board for road service.

Having pictures to go by made the re-assembly of #43 much easier. #43 now has a cam installed and I have disabled the speed stabilization. I Think. We will see how she does in service.

And #34 is back in service after having its tender coupler replaced and switching from cam sync chuff to auto chuff. (At least for now.) So again we will see how she does in service.

After working on these two engines I built two simple road bridges. I needed the first so I can start roughing in the road around the top of the helix. The other I just did because I had the material out.

First simple road bridge. This one at the top of the helix.

Second simple road bridge. This one in Hood.

Both bridges are a little too brown. If they are still too brown after the black wash drys I will apply a wash of refer gray.
