Today there was scenery work on two fronts.
The first front was the static grass for the wet areas around Furnace which you can see in the picture below.
Tomorrow I will apply the "dead blend" static grass (like the static grass around the water tank) to the remaining areas around Furnace. Then comes bushes, some more ballast, dirt and grass on the two Furnace sidings and finally the EnviroTex for the standing water along side the abandoned siding at Furnace which is the black area in this photo.
The second front was the continuation of the forest starting at the Swift Run tunnel and heading towards the helix. To see a picture of that go to www.easton-and-potomac.com.
Tomorrow I hope to place some more trees. But I am running out of seedlings and will not be able to get very far without more. I have a box of armatures that have been prepped and soaked and are ready for painting and flocking. But since I don't have an indoor setup for spray painting they will have to wait until we get some warm and calm days which will most likely not be until April.
I guess that means I will head back into the workshop and build some rolling stock.
