Ground Goop

Today was the first attempt at Ground Goop. I had two recipes. One from a November 2005 MR article and one from Dan George. (Both are listed below.)

November 2005
1 part Celluclay
1 part Earth Color
1 part Vermiculite
.75 part White Glue
cap full of Lysol
Water to make a peanut butter consistency

Dan George
1 part Celluclay
1 part Earth Color
1 part White Glue
cap full of Lysol
Water to make a peanut butter consistency

I used Dan's recipe since I had seen his work and it was outstanding! And I used a cup as the part measurement.

In the picture below I am starting the process of mixing the Ground Goop by getting the Celluclay.
Once the Ground Goop was mixed I applied it to all of the areas in Furnace and around the team track in Stanley. I am now waiting for it to dry. Tomorrow I hope to put in the road coming into Furnace. If all goes well I should have the forest completed to Swift Run and possibly beyond by the end of the year! This would include the ground cover in and around Furnace and Swift Run.

A picture of Furnace with the Ground Goop is on www.easton-and-potomac.com.
