Today the Thorny Point station entered service.
All of the Thorny Point track has been ballasted or weathered and most of the Thorny Point scenery has been applied. There is still some minor adjustments to be made around the station area and scenery still needs to be installed around the Hopkins Spring Mining Company and East Oil Company areas.
A photo of the completed station can be seen at www.easton-and-potomac.com.
In addition to the Thorny Point station progress, the Thorny Point fire house has been dull coated and had its black wash applied. Tomorrow it will get its dusting. Then it will be time for the Thorny Point glass installers who now have the proper work ethic. This building should also be in place in time for the June OPS session.
On the commercial front there are three buildings under construction. They have been cut down to fit the available space, primed and the bricks painted. However I doubt these three buildings will be ready for the June OPS session.
