Today work crews showed up in Thorny Point and started installing the streets and curbing. The street entering Thorny Point and down the first block has been graded. The curbing along side this street has also been graded. Both are ready for their cobblestones and bricks. This street work will continue for several days with the next phase extending the street to the passenger station. The grading of the street for the second block and to the pier will have to wait until all of the second block buildings have been purchased and measured. To see the current progress go to www.easton-and-potomac.com.
On a related note, a new survey map has been created. One of the initial interested parties backed out and a new business owner came forward and purchased the lot at the eastern corner of the second block. To reflect this, and to give a feel for what Thorny Point is going to look like, a new survey map was generated along with pictures of all of the planned buildings. To see this new survey map go to http://www.easton-and-potomac.com/files/thorny%20point%20survey.pdf. As before you will have to magnify it for best viewing.
