Brooke Station

This week I finished work on the Hood Brothers Packing Company area.  The finished product can be seen at www.easton-and-potomac.com.

So yesterday I decided to work on completing the Brooke station area.  Completing this area will finish all of the rural scenery between Hood and Thorny Point.  Most of the work completing this area will be installing the brick platforms around the station and between the RF&P tracks.

The picture below shows the progress on the platform between the RF&P tracks.  I think I will take up the wood crossing pieces between the rails, add one more piece and raise them to the same height as the outside pieces.  This should give a more finished look and since there is no model traffic on these rails flange clearances are not an issue.

The RF&P track platform being test fitted.

Right after this photo the platform went back into the workshop for some final touch up painting.  It should get installed tomorrow.  Then it is on to the station platforms.  They will take quite a bit more effort!
