Today was an excellent day for outside painting, warm but no humidity and no wind. I now have all 695 of the deciduous tree armatures painted and ready for flocking. However upon inventorying my flocking supplies I see I need to place an order.
So while I am waiting for the supplies to come in I will turn my attention to the conifers. I have about 100 of these in some state of preparation with about twenty of them ready for painting and flocking. The rest still need two coats of sawdust on the trunks and application of the sisal twine.
My goal of having the trees ready for planting by the end of June might be a stretch goal.
I also got the three MAC truck bodies for HS Mining lettered and painted and ready for their final assembly.
And the last item accomplished today was the painting of some dead tree armatures for use around the Dry Fork trestle.
All-in-all not a bad day's progress.
