But first a word about BPB Creosoting.
Yesterday I created two more tie loads. One untreated and one treated. We have been so inefficient getting untreated ties to BPB Creosoting they run out of raw material and had to shut down the plant. When asked why he didn't deliver the untreated ties the engineer of the Broadway Turn pointed out that it was not in the paper work to work this industry and he was right. So first order of business was to create another load of raw ties so at least Easton Lumber Company could load the gondola and while I was doing that I create another load of treated ties. I now have enough loads for all of the assigned gondolas.
Today I started work on the planking for the Thorny Point pier. The two hardest planks to install are the ones next to the rails followed by the planks between the rails. I was able to get all of these installed and check the electrical contact and get it back to specs. (The planks were just a little thicker than the rails and needed to be shaved down after installation.)
While waiting for the first two planks to dry I updated the paperwork for the train instructions so there will at least not be that excuse for not servicing BPB Creosoting. I was also notified of an error on the operator's timetable and I corrected that.
