Some good news for the Thorny Point Yardmaster. Today the pier crew got the pier track installed. While this does not place the pier in service it does extend the Thorny Point track capacity by about three cars.
In the picture above the pier track is being positioned for gluing in place. The pier planking has been taped together and is being held in place to guide the track. This way, hopefully, when we plank the pier the planks will run out at the edge of the pier. At least that is the theory.
