Major Website Update

About a month ago I realized I really didn't have any photos of the layout.  I had photos of construction.  But none showing the layout.  So I decided to correct that oversight.

To do this I have updated the town screens and added mainline screens to www.easton-and-potomac.com.  You can now walk around the layout using these screens and see photos from vantage points not normally seen by operators or visitors.

To the town screens I added arrows keys that will take you to the mainline screen coming into and going out of each town.  (Hoovering your cursor over each arrow and it will tell you where it will take you.)  I also added photos of the town.  (Hoovering your cursor over each picture will give a brief description of that picture.)  The photos and arrows are arranged as if you were looking at the town in the layout room.

I added mainline screens that have arrows that will take you to the next town in either direction.  I also created track diagrams that show the names of the rives and roads.  Just as with the town screens the mainline screens are arranged as if you were looking at the mainline in the layout room.  This means that sometimes hitting the right arrow key to get to the screen will required hitting the right arrow key to keep going.  (This only happens when passing from Swift Run to Hopkins Spring and is due to the fact that you pass through the backdrop and start heading in the opposite direction relative to your direction coming into Swift Run.)

As the scenery changes and/or my photography gets better I will update these screens and post a notice of the update on this blog.

Take a while and walk yourself around the layout and let me know if you find any errors or sections that don't work.

Now that I have completed this it is on to TREES!
