Checking out he second pour this morning showed all had setup hard. So it must have been the limited amount I was trying to work with the first time.
With this new found confidence I decided to go ahead with applying the Envirotex to the layout.
Below is a picture of the ditch in Furnace which was the first application of Envirotex. I believe the color needs to be much more intense and so I will apply a second coat with a much more intense brown. I guess it is easier to darken than to lighten.
