Track crews at work in White Hall

The track crews were at work in White Hall today moving the C&O interchange alignment south to make room for a new storage track. This storage track will be needed when the more than twenty White Hall home cars arrive.

Anyone that has worked the White Hall YM position knows there is enough trackage to get the job done but no extra. When the twenty new E&P cars join the current E&P cars there will not be enough room in White Hall. So management decided to add a storage track, capacity about ten cars, to provide some relief to the YM.

Tomorrow the track crews will finish up the new track by installing the missing ties.
