New Easton movement procedures

The last time the CEO was on the private car Easton was for a trip from White Hall to the Southern interchange at Broadway . The dispatcher had specific instructions to NOT delay this train for any reason and these instructions were relayed to all tower operators. However, when train #1 got to Flat Top it was held by a red semaphore for several minutes. It seems the tower operator had left his post to visit the out house. To say the CEO was not happy would be an understatement. And since the CEO was not happy the superintendent was not happy!

To prevent any future delays of this sort, E&P management purchased a track inspection car (shown in photo below). This car will be used between White Hall and Hood and, Hood and White Hall to make sure everything is in order for the movement of the CEO's private car Easton. Track inspection car #3 will proceed any movement of the Easton by at least ten minutes to verify all personnel are on station and all signals and switches are properly set. If for any reason tower personnel are missing the engineer of #3 will have the authority to set the switches and signals with proper notification to the dispatcher.

#3 will be stored at the White Hall roundhouse when the Easton is in White Hall and on the station track in Hood when the Easton is not in White Hall. Personnel in Hood will handle the manual turning of #3 for its trip back to White Hall. #3 will be moved from White Hall to Hood during the next operating session.

Excellent move, if the management is not happy then it rolls down hill.
