A trip to New England

E&P management took a two week trip to New England returning on October 10th. The trip included a ride on the East Broad top, a visit to the museum at Altoona, a visit to Horseshoe Curve, a ride on the MT. Washington Cog Railway, dinner on the Conway Dinner Train, a ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad, a ride on the White River Flyer, dinner on the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train, a ride on the Essex Steam Train and boat and a visit to Northlandz.

Our ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway was during the first snow of the season. Below are pictures from the trip on the cog railway. Another picture is on www.easton-and-potomac.com.

Our train is ready for boarding at 9:00 am on a cold and snowy morning 10.01.2009.

Jacob's Ladder (elevation 4,725 ft) going into the fog.

There was so much snow the crew had to sweep the tracks to provide room for the flanges and gears.

There was also some work needed at the switches.

But we made it to the top!
