Corn Field

Yes we have progress from corn rows to fields.

A little over thirty eight of the forty rows were used to create the corn field.

I had to go to the internet to determine the row spacing.  During the horse days the rows were planted 36" apart.  Today they are as close as 12" apart.  So I settled on 24".

The corn rows were then glued to a piece of .06 styrene sheet with the 24" spacing between rows.

This now needs to have some ground cover applied and then it can be placed on the layout.

To see a picture of the corn field to go www.easton-and-potomac.com.

Keith you're going about this the hard way - too much manual labor. May I suggest a 1/87 John Deere Model "B" (Poppin' John) and a JD Two Row Corn Planter. They are all the rage out West and appropriate for your era :}}
