The 161st OPS session has yet to come to an end!
It started with the printer for the train order system running out of ink and a search for a replacement cartridge turning up nothing. (This has been rectified. The tractor trailer load of ink cartridges should arrive Wednesday.)
So the session proceeded with verbal orders and clearances. (Everyone was extremely disappointed in the loss of the paper work!)
We had some wireless issues so removing the one UR91 receiver did not make any difference. More investigation is needed in this area.
During the entire session sleet was falling on the skylights in the crew lounge so I decided at 2:15 to call the session at 3:00 so everyone could get home before dark. Of course as soon as we turned the layout off at 3:00 the sleet stopped and the sun came out. It is VERY hard to avoid Murphy!
At any rate, a continuation of the session is planned but not yet scheduled. This will be run with whomever we can get from the original 161st session crew. Once that is complete I will post the session photos.
One good thing came out of the session and that was Erwin Jack obtain FQO status. This is the first new FQO in over four years.
